Project Overview

Winter Wellness is an annual program to encourage patrons to embrace winter and enjoy soothing artistic and cultural events and activities. The 2020 series will include: Creative Movement by dancer Karla Nweje who will show participants how to express themselves and share and connect with others through movement; Self Portrates with artist Katrina Knutson; Painting and Mixed Media with artist Melissa Vang; and Soul Line Dancing by dancer Tina Jackson.

Participants will feel the positive effects of art and dance for body, mind and soul.

Measurable Outcome(s)

O n 1/23 and 2/20/2020 Thirty-nine attendees learned to Soul Line Dance as part of the dance for body, mind, and soul. On 1/21six attendees learned art of dance with movement and mind-body techniques. On 2/1, 2/8, 2/19 fifty-five attendees created mixed media art. On 2/27 One participant learned and created a study of self and discovery art piece.
