Anti-Racist Genealogy: Professional genealogist Mica Anders will discuss what's missing from traditional genealogical practices, how genealogy can inform or reveal racial/cultural identity, and give ideas for using genealogy in transforming historical harm.

Anti-Racist Genealogy: Participants will learn how social, political, and economic context affects the ability to research European-American ancestors. Participants will brainstorm ideas for ways to use genealogy in the transformation of historical harm.
95% of participants learned how social, political and economic context affects the genealogy research of European-American ancestors. 92% left the program with ideas for using genealogy research in transforming historical harm. Patron comments included "very relevant for anti-racism work, even beyond strict genealogical research."
