Project Overview

Participants ages 9-13 will explore art, Minnesota History, and creative writing in three 90-minute classes (Spirals of Fibonacci Fun, MN Mystery Escape Room, and Cool Things with Words), led by Krista Boos and Barb Martinez of ExEd Homeschool in the fall, and three more classes in the spring.

NOTE: All three spring 2020 sessions of Afternoon Academy were cancelled due to COVID-19.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants will identify at least one new thing they learned about the subject for each class.

Measurable Outcome(s)

This was a very well-received series and an excellent opportunity to expand Legacy-funded programming to homeschooling families (although certainly open to any students).
Of the 19 completed student evaluations, 18 indicated at least one substantial new fact that they learned; 14 were able to identify three.
