Project Overview

The Textile Center will present a variety of programs for youth and for adults which will encourage participants to explore their creativity by designing and constructing items from various textiles including felted wool, fabric and string.

Participants will have an opportunity to express their creativity and complete a project to bring home. They will be inspired, gain information and gather ideas for extending projects at home.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Of the survey respondents, 87% reported feeling more confident about what they learned. One respondent wrote, "The empowerment it gave kids to create something I felt was relatively complicated on their own. The teacher was patient and helpful to everyone. I love that." Another wrote: "Educational component combined with hands on learning. Learned a lot about the materials we used along with technique."
