This drop-in workshop allows kids and caregivers to play together as they create machines or inventions from provided materials. The Improv Parenting workshop leader will model and teach improv games to encourage storytelling and creative play with a focus on process over product.

Children and their caregivers will have an opportunity for artistic expression and will be able to take home their creation. They will be inspired, gain information and gather ideas on extending arts projects at home.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants had an opportunity to express themselves artistically by taking everyday materials and turning them into creations. They also gained insight into how parents and caregivers can the art of improv to help connect and communicate positively with their children.
