Project Overview

Eighty years ago this month, in November 1938, even before the start of World War II, the Nazis unleashed the horrific violence of Kristallnacht, their first major assault on the Jews of Germany and Austria. The question of how to grapple with Nazi genocide is still very present in German culture. Please join Leslie Morris, as she explores the ongoing, complex engagement of genocide with history and memory and investigates how the legacy of the Holocaust has continued to shape public discourse.
