Creative Oasis
Sarah Ratermann Beahan, Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts Writer in Residence, will lead Creative Oasis, a monthly workshop created to let your curious, imaginative self out to play. The focus of each workshop is helping people connect with their creativity through different artistic modes- writing prompts, visual arts, creative movement, and music- with the main idea being that we are all creative and our lives are fuller when we connect with our creative side even if we don't consider ourselves artists. Activities will involve a mixture of writing or simple art prompts, mindfulness, play and a dose of reflection, all geared toward creating a healthier individual and a healthier community.
