Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Through gardening and food, participants will learn about the Hmong culture and their experience creating a new life in Minnesota. Guests will learn old-world Hmong gardening techniques and take home their own "meal in a pot." Some participants will tour the Hmong Elders Center.

Measurable Outcome(s)

This was one of our most successful adult programs in 2018. People loved hearing from the Hmong elders about their history and culture and enjoyed the hands-on activity of creating a pot to grow food. Guests overwhelmingly rated the program a 5 out of a scale of 0 to 5 and requested more programs that combine learning about culture with cooking, food, and gardening.
