Project Overview

Teen Lit Con is a one day event that brings authors and teens together. Hosted at Henry Sibley High School teen readers are invited from around the metro to attend. The day will boast at least 10 authors of interest, a variety of breakout sessions, and an exhibit hall for book signings, literary games, book arts and opportunities for readers to connect with one another. This year, Teen Lit Con will include a new mini-conference for graphic novel and comic book fans called coMIXgraphiCON.

Teen Lit Con 2020 will to host at least 1000 teens. Primary goals of the event are to introduce attendees to new authors and books, provide opportunities to learn about writing and publishing, to connect teens with book arts and have attendees connect with each other over books. We expect 85% of attendees to engage in these activities. We expect each of these goals to receive 75% yes responses confirming participation. Additionally, 90% of respondents are anticipated stating that they would attend a similar program indicating a favorable response their Teen Lit Con experience.
