Project Overview

Americans remember the year 1968 for unprecedented levels of combat in Vietnam and dissent at home, but that was only part of the story. From Europe to Japan to South America, the year brought an outpouring of demonstrations, uprisings and repression around the globe. It was a year that set the agenda?for good or for evil?for much of what has happened since. Join Mary T. Curtin, Diplomat-in-Residence at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, as she examines the international aspects of what might have been the most tumultuous year in the last half century.
