Through interacting with local experts, teens are exposed to new ideas, learn new skills and build self-confidence through creating. Teens will explore the ways we use color and form from soil rather than plant based dyes.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Teens worked with local artist to learn the ancient dyeing process of kneading and bright natural colors of soil from Bengali. They then used that process to dye a scarf to take home.
