Project Overview

Thirty-five years ago, the film Bladerunner portrayed a grim dystopian future set in the fictional year 2019. Now that we're almost there in real life, it's time for a retrospective look. Join historian Jim Stewart as he examines the real-life legacy of the film. What did Bladerunner get right and wrong about the last 35 years, and how did it shape our ideas of the future and what it means to inhabit our world now? We'll watch the movie again, and then we'll talk about the issues that it raises.
