Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The programs will allow attendees to become more exposed to professional artists, and to the visual arts in general. The programs will increase knowledge and awareness of the arts resources available to participants within their own communities, and allow them ample opportunities to practice skills in creative expression.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The programs allowed attendees exposure to professional working artists and to visual arts. The programs increased knowledge and awareness of both library resources as well as arts resources in the community. The programs provided practice on individual skills regarding the creative arts. Of those surveyed, 94% learned something that was helpful, while 87% were more aware of resources and services provided by the library. One respondent remarked, " Even people like me who have no artistic talent was able to create some very neat drawings. We learned wet to dry and dry to wet and that everyone is creative. The instructor was great and so willing to help everyone. Also the librarians had set up a very nice display of books on card making and drawing. I did not know those were available. Thank you! So convenient to have a class in our neighborhood."
