LGBTQIA+ Pride - Spring and Summer 2019
Facilitated events for LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies. Participants will share stories in an open, informal and participatory format, linking individual experiences to the broader arc of queer history.

Outcome 1: Participants feel that their gender identity and expression and/or sexual orientation is valued and affirmed by the library.
Outcome 2: Participants connect with others in the LGBQTIA+ community.
Outcome 3: Participants learn more about LGBTQIA+ history in Minnesota.
78% created their own pride flag. 98% learned more about LGBTQIA+ history in Minnesota. 100% felt welcome at the library after seeing Queer Voices program. Patron comments included: "We drove all the way here just for this...we loved meeting other families like us" and "loved the inter-generational aspect" and "Being able to feel completely accepted for who I am in such a large crowd of people. Nobody questioned my identify and that was very affirming."
