Artists from Claude Monet to contemporary artist Andy Goldsworthy have used nature as their main inspiration throughout their art making processes. In this class, the concept of nature in art can range from observational drawing to incorporating physical elements of nature into your art piece.

Participants will learn a new artistic skill and methods for successful drawings from nature. Participants will have completed several drawings to take with them.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Using nature as their main inspiration, participants practiced many techniques and exercises introduced to them. It was an intergenerational/diverse group, and they enjoyed the opportunity to share ideas and best practices of several mediums represented.
