Project Overview

Rondo Community Library will serve as a satellite site for the annual Northern Spark Art Festival. This year's theme is: We are Here: Resilience, Renewal, and Regeneration. It celebrates some of the neighborhoods in our community, including Rondo, that are home to people, cultures, and livelihoods that have stayed resilient in the face of erasure, genocide, and fractures between nature and each other. Rondo Library will become the "Library After Dark," as part of the festival and stage numerous arts and crafts projects, including sewing a community quilt, a community fashion parade, showcasing handmade, glow-in-the-dark fascinator hats, glow-in-the-dark medallion making, and glow-in-the-dark paintings, among other activities.
