Project Overview

This will be an Intergenerational series of art classes offered to teens and adults, acceptable for all levels of skill. The series will include three classes, each offered twice with 15 registrations per session for 2 hours. Each class will be taught by an Artistry instructor using the Zoom platform and focus on different elements of art and design. Offering programs this way will be an opportunity to provide quality programming while continuing to respond to health concerns of not meeting physically in groups due to Covid-19. Each class session is $190.00 for 2hrs and 15 attendees via Zoom.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Each class will offer a slightly different focus on elements of art that attendees will learn more about. Sketch and Draw Your Pet will give attendees live feedback on their work as they learn how to focus on capturing the shape, texture, motion, and light of a pet. Capturing the Moment with Collage attendees will learn the tactile, expressive art of collage using bits and pieces of paper, fabric, and other materials in order to build up a mosaic-like scene. Drawing Flowers and Plants attendees will learn some simple exercises you can use to hone their drawing skills, and how to use watercolor to add quick washes of color to their drawings to bring extra dimension to their art

Measurable Outcome(s)

All outcomes were met. Attendees indicated on surveys an increase in knowledge of drawing techniques and watercolor techniques. Many indicated finding this to be a relaxing new hobby. Attendees also appreciated the ease of the mosaic class and using different media to create a piece of art.
