Participants will learn about mosaics, pottery, watercolors and painting in these workshops and will create a project to bring home. They will be inspired, gain information and gather ideas on extending the art projects at home.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about a variety of artistic mediums, including mosaics, pottery, and watercolor painting. In addition to experiencing these art mediums at the program, participants were given information about how to extend these projects at home.
According to the Project Outcome surveys delivered at each program, 81% of respondents said they felt more confident about what they learned, while 78% were more aware of resources and services provided by the library. 72% felt they learned something that was helpful to them.
One respondent wrote, "I'm responding for both of my children, ages 9 and 6. They both loved the pottery class, they learned a lot and got to apply their new skills...I LOVE that the library is able to promote classes like this, we love art! They both liked that they could turn clay into a cool gratitude box and they enjoyed painting it after. Can't wait to see how they turn out after they are fired in the kiln."
