Project Overview

A screening of the award-winning film, Intelligent Lives, which showcases three pioneering Americans with intellectual disabilities and how they challenge perceptions of intelligence. Following the film, there will be a professionally facilitated discussion with audience members at one of the showings. Having purchased the license to show the movie, we plan to show it on multiple dates.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The purpose was to share a documentary on the history and impact of intelligence training and how people can thrive despite labels with supportive environments. The audiences enjoyed seeing an informative film on an important topic and having a discussion, enjoyed opportunity to connect with the community and with people with similar interests/experiences to have a discussion.
