Forever Music: Patrons will experience music. Patrons will learn about the history of music or instruments played.
Live music at Franklin: Patrons express a positive connection with music. Patrons listen to various genres of music. Patrons connect with local musicians of diverse backgrounds.
Forever Music: 100% of participants tried playing the ukulele. 95% learned different parts of instrument; 100% learned to play different chords; 60% learned how to play a song. 100% experienced music and learned about the history of music. Comments include: "This class was amazing! I've wanted to learn to play any instruments my entire life (or as long as I remember) and I haven't been able to get going on anything. Having the opportunity to have access to these instruments and professional and skilled instructors has really made a huge difference in my life. Huge improvement! Thank you!!!" and "Very interesting, educational and enjoyable."
Live Music at Franklin: 92% of participants felt a positive connection between music and community. Participants learned about artists' songs, voice, songwriting, and inspiration. Comments include: "Learned about her native community and the traditions/music from it; I learned about her tribe's history at the symbolism of the jaguar; I learned about what motivates her to make her music: art in general and about her tribe: history/meanings behind dance and songs."
