Juneteenth Winter, Spring, Summer 2019
For Juneteenth Celebrations: The library will host two Juneteenth celebrations of African-American freedom which will include interactive and performance art led by eight local arts and culture organizations. They will include singing, music, story-telling, and youth-devised performances. Several youth workshops will be held at Patrick Henry High.
For Juneteenth for Mazie Story Strolls: The library will host three walking story programs for families.

Patrons will feel that elements of African-American culture are honored with these celebrations. Patrons will feel connected to the performance, art and or stories presented.
Juneteeth Celebrations and Mazie Story Strolls: At Webber Park Library, 91% of participants felt Black history and culture were honored. Comments included: "It was amazing and eye opening." Comments at North Regional Library included: "It is educational and enjoyable. Thank you for being such an important part of our community" and "I can't wait to come back."
