Programs for all ages that celebrate black history and culture and encourage people to think broadly and critically about black history in all of its richness and complexity.

For Lift Every Voice: Patrons will report feeling that black cultural heritage and history were reflected in the program. Patron will connect with music. For Black Author Expo: Patrons will have an increased understanding/knowledge of the African diaspora. Patrons will feel connected to books and stories. For Black Master Storytelling Festival: Patrons will experience storytelling.
Lift Every Voice: 81% reported Black cultural heritage and history were reflected in the program. 72% reported they would seek library resources on gospel music. 100% reported they connected with music. 83% reported the program as "excellent" and 17% as "good." Patron comments included: "More gospel music like this one" and "...wonderful effort, thank you." Black Author Expo: Participants increased their understanding and knowledge of the African diaspora. Black Master Storytelling Festival: Patrons experienced storytelling by African people in the Diaspora.
