Project Overview

Bryan and Neil of Minneapolis are the duo better known as Koo Koo Kanga Roo. They are a kids' band for all ages that features a colorful live show with lots of audience participation and interaction. Their songs are written explicitly for the purpose of audience involvement featuring sing along verses and choruses and often including a simple dance move or actions. The subject matter covers such topics as dinosaurs, letters of the alphabet, ninjas, hopscotch and slumber parties. The program promotes an appreciation and enjoyment of music and encourages the importance of an active lifestyle and exercise.

Participants will learn new songs and dance moves and gain an appreciation for music, movement and dance as well as the importance of exercise. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The participation and interaction between family and friends was incredible. The adults had just as much fun as the kids and one little girl summed it up quite well after the program when she announced, "This is the best day of my life!" There were many expressions of gratitude and appreciation for this event. Even social media was abuzz with numerous positive comments about these performers coming to the community.
