Project Overview
Book Club kits featuring Minnesota Book Award winners and/or nominees were created. Twenty-one Book Club in a Tub kits were developed to share between Plum Creek and Pioneerland libraries on a rotating basis. Each kit contains 12 copies of a book (either in print or audio format), a folder with information about the author and a discussion guide. Kits are assembled and stored in interlocking tubs for ease in delivering to member libraries and transferring between regional system.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Goal of this project is to promote Minnesota authors by providing books (and other formats) discussion guides and other information about Minnesota authors in kit format for book clubs in our region.
Measurable Outcome(s)
The book club kits have been well received since they were introduced and continue to be used. There have been 311 checkouts of the kits to date. Book clubs appreciate the convenience of having all of the books necessary in one spot, as do librarians, who find it much more convenient to offer their patrons books this way. Plum Creek continues to rotate its collection with Pioneerland library system in an effort to vary the selection of book kits for patrons.
