Steve Glischinski's photographs of railroads in action have been published in many books and magazines including "Trains" magazine. He will show a slide show and comment on the pictures. He will also have discussion time and an interactive session with the audience.

Attendees will learn history and other facts and lore about Minnesota railroads and will be able to ask questions consequently developing a greater interest and appreciation for railroads through the lecture and pictures. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Attendees learned history of U.S. and Minnesota railroads and were able to ask many questions and also tell personal anecdotes about their own train experiences.

Source of Additional Funds

The Tyler Senior Center provided space and hospitality benefits for the program at no charge. Publicity for the event was shared between the Tyler, Ivanhoe and Lake Benton libraries.
