Two individuals were retired railroad employees and contributed memories following the program. the daughter of one individual commented, "that dad has been telling stories about his work on the railroad that I have never heard before."
Attendees contributed stories of riding the trains in Redwood County in the 1940s, 50s and 60s to get to work.
Discussion about train depots that existed in Redwood County and what happened to them occurred.
The presenter returned the $160.00 mileage check given to him for this program.
KLGR and KNUJ radio stations included the program in the Area Events calendar
. Wabasso Standard newspaper did an article.
Lucan Leader newsletter included the program in the "Happenings Around Lucan."
Lucan Depot museum and the Redwood County museum provided pictures of area trains and depots for display in the library.
