Gary Harbo - 2-Dimensional Drawings
Participants will gain knowledge about what an illustrator does and who he is. They will also gain techniques for drawing and creating a character for a book. having this for parents and children together will ad a fun dimension and give parents an interactive event to do with their child. We hope participants will gain confidence in their drawing skills, enjoy interacting with their child, enhance socialization with other's in the class, and find out how much they enjoy creating. Participant evaluation/surveys and anecdotal responses were collected.
Participants gained knowledge about what an illustrator does and who he is. They also gained techniques for drawing and creating a character for a book. Adults and children enjoyed hearing about Gary's 26 years as an illustrator. They enjoyed interacting. They will and did gain confidence in their drawing skills, enjoyed socialization with other's in the class and enjoyed creating.
KLGR radio station allowed the library to share information on the program on-air. Friends of the Redwood Falls library provided snacks.
