Lori Pickle-Stangel, Executive Director of the McLeod County Historical Society in Hutchinson, Minnesota, will talk about her experiences as a museum director and how they deal with and apply preservation in a museum setting. She will also share tips that the audience can use in preserving common artifacts found in their personal collections, such as photographs and wedding dresses. Twenty-two people attended and were ready to try out the technique after the program. Several purchased a book to refresh their memories of the talk. The two copies of the book we purchased for the collection are in use. The library is considering creating a straw bale garden as well.
