Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The Trunk Show will incorporate all five practices that build early literacy skills and a strong foundation for reading: talking, singing, reading, writing and playing.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The children were able to read the book Moo! with the help of David and Mike. They also danced and sang when they played a song based on the book. The puppet show was an extended version of the book and the children listened attentively. They helped David and Mike write a new story and finished sentences that they had started. One parent said it was a wonderful program for her 6 year old who wants to be an author/illustrator some day.
