Straw Bale Gardening - Joel Karsten
Attendees will gain knowledge about a different method of gardening. Being able to speak to Joel Karsten directly with their questions and concerns will greatly add to their educational experience.
Program participants gained enough knowledge just from the program to star their own straw bale garden. Many community members have also borrowed or purchased the straw bale gardening book as a reference.
Community members are already working together to locate a local source of straw bales and other supplies needed and comparing their successes and challenges. Several people who weren't able to attend the program have stopped by the library for more information and/or to request the book.
The City of Fulda provided space for the program at no charge.
