One Book One County Read and Bus Trip-"Finding Foxholes" and Fagen Fighters WWII Museum
The four Redwood County libraries held a county-wide read with events centered around the book, "Finding Foxholes", by Faye Berger. Berger, a native of Morgan, Minnesota, tells of the first-hand account of her father and his experiences in World War II. It also includes the 1992 travelogue of the author and her father's trip to retrace his 1944 infantry route. The libraries will distribute copies of the book, have WWII displays, visiting the Fagen Air Museum, and will hold book discussions at each library.

Participants will learn about a first-hand account of an army infantry man and will learn history through the eyes of someone who lived it. Individual attitudes and feelings may change because of insight gained and those who may have little or no knowledge of WWII may decide to delve deeper into understanding the experience from many perspectives. Participant evaluation/anecdotal responses will be collected.
