Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Children will gan a greater understanding of the banjo, guitar, fiddle and instruments they are often not exposed to. Jack is also a storyteller and will entertain them with stories that fit with the summer reading theme, encouraging them to use the library. The community will see the library as a place they can turn to for good family entertainment.

Measurable Outcome(s)

During his performance, Jack used instruments that the children usually do not hear. He also told traditional folktales and stories and encouraged the children to spend time reading and using the library. Anecdotal responses were collected.

Source of Additional Funds

The Ivanhoe Community Center provided space for the program and the Tyler Public Library helped with promotion of the program.
