Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The audience members will learn how to identify different species of owls, with attention focused on those living our area. They will have a greater understanding of how human activities can affect owls and will see the library as a source of programming that is educational and entertaining. Anecdotal responses will be collected.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The program was highly interactive with audience members having the opportunity to ask questions and give comments. Audience members learned that smaller owls are found in the southern states because larger animals can produce more heat to keep them warm in northern climates. They were surprised to learn where owl's ears are located and how the feathers play an important role in their hearing ability.
