In this hands-on workshop, presenter Mollie Schweinfurter discusses many popular genealogy websites with an emphasis on Minnesota sites. Students have an opportunity to bring along names and dates that they would like to research.

This program will provide the community with an opportunity to learn how to research their ancestors online. By taking the class they will be empowered to begin researching their family histories on their own and be encouraged to research and preserve their histories.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The participants were introduced to many websites that are helpful with genealogy research. They also received tips for searching for information and how to find data online. They gained knowledge that they will now be able to use when they continue research on their own.
