Create an interest in attending the summer reading programs at the library.
Result in children reading throughout the summer.
Provide the opportunity to attend free artistic and educational programs which would not otherwise be available to local children. Participant evaluation/surveys and anecdotal responses will be collected.
The kids had a great time and were reminded to read over the summer.
50% of the evaluation forms returned indicated that they would not have been able to have this experience without the support of the library.

The school provided the auditorium at no cost and allowed the children to attend the program during the school day. The school also helped to promote the summer reading program.
