Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

School-aged kids will get hands-on art experiences under the guidance of a professional educator.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Comments from hosting librarian: Lynne, the instructor, did a great job working with the kids. We had 6/10 who were registered show, which was a little disappointing. I tried to rally a few others from the waiting list, but we ended up just adding in 2 siblings to get to 8 kids total. 1 parent stayed for the whole class to assist her kids. I thought the project was appropriate for the age of the kids. Many of them found portions of the sewing part frustrating, but it was because it was their first time being exposed to the skills, not because of the instructor. She was quite patient and persisted being encouraging throughout the class-- even with the most negative kids. The size of the project made it easy for most kids to complete in the 2 hour time frame. I would re-book this class in the future.
