Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
Participants will learn more about the war in Afghanistan and how it affects the military and their families (Hell and Back Again) and women athletes competing in an unusual Olympic sport - weightlifting (Strong!).
Measurable Outcome(s)
The films attacted very different audiences for each screening. Panelists were excellent and right on topic regarding the issues of military deployment and the effects on the family, and the issues faced by elite women athletes. Participants in the May screening were involved with high school and university sports and intend to secure filming rights for Strong! to show to students.
