Project Overview
Art of Improvisation: To improvise means to think on your feet. Now, combine that with Comedy Theater and you get a unique performance experience! If you like to jump in and have fun creating scenes “on the spot” you will love this session. Bring your imagination and energy! Stage Combat: They make it look SO real on stage! Sword fights, falls and slaps seem authentic when an experienced actor uses Stage Combat techniques in a performance. This workshop will help you learn how it’s done. Learn basic moves like the Hair Pull, the Stage Slap and the Pratfall. Learn to do these moves safely and consistently. Dress for major movement and be ready to have some serious fun! Stage Make-Up: Ever wonder how make-up artists make movie stars look like they’ve been in a fight or how they make a young person appear old? It’s all in the magic of Stage Make-up. Come learn a few tricks of the trade in this hands-on make-up class. You’ll begin by designing your own character make-up on paper and then transform your own face using theatrical make-up provided.
