Artist Tara Jones, in a variety of mediums will design children's programming based around books for each library branch. Each session will be 1 1/2 hour in length. Tara incorporates participatory art activities that can be geared to audience levels and themes chosen.

Art expression introduced to young children through use of familiar books, will inspire their imagination. Children will experience new art forms and new ways to express their creativity.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Paticipants agreed Tara is a natural around kids and adults. She related to to a diverse group. All ages were involved and encouraged to express their perception of the books they listened to. Most appreciated, by many in attendance, is the use with the mediums of their choice, while listening to the story. Adults commented that the teacher was very reaffirming and positive with all the artwork and how it related to the book.
