Project Overview
Will provide a literacy component at the annual Kids Fishing clinic. Children will receive a Fishin' Tales booklet and pen and tips on writing their fishing stories. Booklets and pens were purchased with Legacy funds in 2010, this is the third year we will use the materials. Library services will also be promoted.

Children and families will learn Minnesota fishing facts and will be encouraged to write their personal experiences down. People that don't normally use the library will receive information about services and programs.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Families visited the table to learn about fishing resources available to them through the library. Staff engaged kids in learning and conversation through fishing trivia. Booklists, summer reading information and notebooks to record "the one that got away" stories were distributed.
