Live at the Library -- Winter 2012
Audiences will experience live music and theater programs at their neighborhood libraries and learn about Civil War history and other cultures.
Live theater, music and dance programs were met with great enthusiasm by audiences at libraries throughout the region. There were 172 preschool children and their parents at several Sing, Play, Learn program presented by early childhood educators from MacPhail Center for Music. Audiences of all ages enjoyed live theater presented by Mixed Blood Theatre and an amazing roster of live music performances. From Hawaiian music to bluegrass and American folk music, to music from all over the world - Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean, England, Scandinavia, musicians and singers entertained people of all ages. Attendees appreciated the high quality of the performances and enjoyed learning about other cultures through their music and history.
