Project Overview
The Farm at Pony Gulch combines family recollections of North Dakota farm life from 1896 - 1926. Ramberg relates stories of building sod and gestatza houses; using mischt, meadow muffins and twisted grass to fuel a large Russian oven; and raising sheep and processing the wool. Come and learn about Germans from Russia, a little-known immigrant group that settled on America's great plains and Canada.
