Project Overview
Travel back to the 12th century to discover the dramatic story of Hildegard von Bingen—a nun who left her mark on the world against all odds. Author Mary Sharratt will read from her new novel, Illuminations, based on Hildegard's life, and will discuss Hildegard's relevance for us today. Sharratt will appear in 12th century costume and will play brief recordings of Hildegard's ethereal music. Books will be available for purchase from Lake Country Booksellers.
