Elementary school aged children will enjoy exposure to simple art projects using materials that are readily available or inexpensive to obtain. Participants may learn about a culture new to them.
Children, aged 5-11, created Chilean rainsticks, Vietnamese dragons, Mexican foil masks, and birch watercolor scenes during these fun filled and educational sessions celebrating summer reading and learning at the library. Children and parents remarked on how fun and interesting the programs were and asked for more!
