Community Cinema at the Library
Participants will learn about and discuss issues addressed by the documentary films and the panelists. Issues include the Civil Rights struggle to desegregate Little Rock Central High School, an exploration of Black History Month and why a people's history is relegated to just one month, and the development of the electric car.
The series attendance built over time with a new location and presenting partner. Some attended all programs with new attendees for each film. Conversations following the film created lively discussions and more in depth knowledge about the subjects - the Civil Rights movement, Black History Month and electric vehicles.
