Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Teens will use their imaginations and quick-thinking skills to explore aspects of theater through the guidance of a professional educator.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Comments from hosting librarian: We had Laura from Steppingstone out for the Comedy Improv class on Wednesday, July 25th from 1-2:30pm. She was awesome! I would have her back as a presenter in a heartbeat. In terms of the class, she used different improv games to move the teens through increasingly more free-form activities. For example, in the first exercise, they worked in pairs for a turn, then another pair went up, etc. The last game they played, the teens "added" themselves to the scenario when they were comfortable. I was a little concerned the improv might go to what I would consider "library-inappropriate" topics or ideas, but Laura did a great job of making suggestions or ending scenes that were getting a little out of hand, which I appreciated.
