2012 Read & Ride Day at Minnesota State Fair
The 2012 event will connect with 4,000 fairgoers. Attendees will have an enhanced state fair visit learning and experiencing new things.
Over 1,000 fair goers visited the Read & Ride Day activities and performances. There were five on-stage performances and repeat visits from TPT's Curious George throughout the day on stage. The Alphabet Forest scavenger hunt was a hit with families. The I Got Carded buttons were popular with the adults. The trivia wheel drew older children and teens as well as adults. Families with younger children interacted with partners and enjoyed making craft activities. The event was successful in cementing partnerships with Minitex, the Minnesota Book Awards and Twin Cities Public Television.
