Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Audiences will be exposed to new perspectives through discussions, performances and art forms, and learn more about African American cultures.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Audiences learned about various aspects of African American culture, including the theater work of James Baldwin; audiences participated in singing with Robert Robinson and reported that the experience was enriching and uplifting and that they wouldn't have been able to afford to hear this singer without the library program; discussion participants learned about fiction and nonfiction works of Walter Mosley unfamiliar to them before; and children had the opportunity to participate in Blues storytelling, music and dancing.
