Project Overview
Spice & Slice of Asian America is a series of programs in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Presentations will be for audiences ranging from elementary students to adults. There will be a total of four different programs, with one to be presented at two locations. Programs will focus on: Japanese taiko; Hmong folk tales; Korean adoptee stories; a viewing of “Fresh Off the Boat,” a comedy about immigrating to the US; and two showings of the play, “American Bamboo,” about Asian immigrants and their struggles with living in the US.
