In his presentation by author Frederick Blanch he will be reading from his latest book Last Words. The book is a witty, sad, and hilarious account of the author’s trials and travels. Last Words has been nominated for Minnesota Book Awards and the long-time author characterized as Minnesota’s “Mark Twain of non-fiction.”

Audience will be entertained and challenged to look at our past and the lessons we can learn from our history. Blanch cares a lot about connections and relationships. Many of his stories he shares will make one ponder a simpler way of living.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Fred was particularly enjoyed by the older adults that attended. Comments like “I loved that he read to us” and “it was so special to hear stories of days gone by” were voiced. The liveliness of the author's reading added to the entertainment.
